‘After moving to Mirrors, my son has a beautiful home and a fantastic life…..’
‘Before my son moved into Mirrors Care accommodation, he was extremely unhappy. He was mismatched with his flatmates, had many behavioural issues, and a very ordinary life. After moving to Mirrors, he has a beautiful home and a fantastic life. In 18 months, he’s only had one or two behavioural issues. He gets on extremely well with his flatmate and is always happy. I can rest easy knowing he is cared for properly and given a great life.’

Supported Independent Living FAQ
If I'm living with a group, who will I be sharing with?
We understand how important harmony is in a shared house. Tell us what works for you and what doesn’t. We’ll do our best to match you with housemates who tick your boxes and share your interests.
Along with your housemates and support workers, you get to make decisions about your home’s day-to-day running.
Your Mirrors Care support worker will be there as often as you need them. They’ll help you with household tasks, getting out and about, attending appointments, and anything else you need.
How is Supported Independent Living funded under the NDIS?
Your NDIS Plan will pay for the support you receive from us to live independently. The Core Supports budget covers independent living under “Assistance with Daily Life.
NOTE: NDIS funding doesn’t cover your rent or daily expenses, such as food and recreational activities. Your Disability Pension or another funding source usually covers these costs.
