Live your best life

‘Nadezhda Raph works in collaboration with me…and boy, does she know how to assist in a person-centered way.’

‘I had 25 years of professional experience as an Evaluator and Trainer across the Disability Sector in WA before I was diagnosed with my own neurological disability.

I knew a LOT about the sector and NDIS…however, becoming a Participant was a very stressful journey, complex beyond belief, traumatising, and de-valuing in many, many ways.

The Support Coordination offered by Mirrors Care took the sting out of it. Nadezhda Raph works in collaboration with me, making me feel calmer…and boy, does she know how to assist in a person-centered way.

She is innovative, patient, empathic, kind. Other NDIS personnel could learn a lot by following the example set by Nadezhda, who goes the extra mile!’

About the NDIS FAQ

What is the NDIS?

The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

If you’re under 65 with a permanent and significant disability, the NDIS can fund the support you need to live your fullest everyday life and achieve your short and long-term goals.

Check your eligibility

How does NDIS funding work?

NDIS funding is specific to the person applying for it.

To apply for NDIS funds, you’ll need to meet with a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or another registered person and make a plan.

Your NDIS Plan sets out your needs and goals, determining the level of funding you receive. You get to review your plan and adjust it as your needs and goals change.

NOTE: NDIS funding doesn’t pay for everyday living expenses that people without disability need to cover such as: rent, food, mobile phone or entertainment costs, or health or education services.

However, it can fund the support you need to access a wide range of community services.

Can I work with you before my NDIS planning meeting?

Absolutely!  We can help you by:

  • Listening to you and hearing about your goals and dreams
  • Figuring out what’s currently working well and what isn’t
  • Helping you set goals for living your best possible life
  • Discussing the supports that can help you get where you want to go
  • Suggesting services that may suit your needs

We’ll work with you and the people who know and love you so you’re fully prepared for your NDIS planning meeting.
