Respite
Care
Feel like you’re on the brink
of burnout?
Have a ‘to do’ list loaded with things you never get done?
Would your loved one enjoy spending time with other caring humans?
Respite works for everyone
If you care for someone with a disability, respite makes caring more manageable by giving you time and space to relax and recharge.
If you have a disability, respite expands your circle of interesting others.
Our respite service works both ways
In-home care
We’ll care for your loved one at home for the hours or the days you need to take time out to care for you.
Top Tip: If you’re worried about taking a break, start small. Take an hour or so and see how that works. All good? Build up to longer sessions.
Out and about care
We’ll help your loved one enjoy their favourite activities, their choice, our support.
We might swim in the pool, see the latest movie, go to a match, visit a library.
The list is endless.
If your loved one wants to hang out with friends, attend a class, or spend time in a community centre, we’ll be their chauffeur and, if they ask us, their supporter.
Top Tip: Give yourself and your loved one a genuine break. Try not to visit or check-in too often during your respite time.
